As we celebrate our bicentenary year in 2024, we are delighted to relaunch the Angostura® Global Cocktail Challenge. This marks the beginning of a new dialogue with the bartending community as we search for the next generation of champions worldwide.

Our theme for this year's challenge is... A journey through time... a celebration of 200 years of Angostura, bartending and classic cocktails.

This Tiki take on a Rome With a View cocktail, originally created by bartender Matthew Belanger at a Brooklyn bar and named after a song by a punk rock band The Lawrence Arms, is a wonderfully balanced cocktail, with notes of citrus, pineapple and, aromatic bitters of course. �

INGREDIENTS:
1 oz Amaro di Angostura (@amarodiangostura)
1/2 oz Aperol
1/2 oz Cappelletti
3 4 oz lemon juice
3/4 oz pineapple juice
1/2 oz cane sugar syrup
2 dashes ANGOSTURA® aromatic bitters
Top with soda water�

METHOD:
Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a highball glass over ice. Add garnish.

It’s WORLD MOJITO DAY and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate this classic cocktail, and all of its flavour iterations, that have become a staple in many bars and communities around the world. These recipes were credited by Raymond Edwards, our Chief Brand Educator and Award-Winning ...Mixologist at House of Angostura.

1 - Apple Ginger Mojito:
1 3/4 oz ANGOSTURA®️ 5 Year Rum
6-8 Fresh Mint Leaves
1/2 oz Lime Juice
1/2 oz Simple Syrup (1-1)
3/4 oz Apple Juice
3 dashes ANGOSTURA®️ aromatic bitters
Top up with Ginger Beer/Ginger Ale

Method
In a highball glass add fresh mint , lime juice and simple syrup. Muddle ingredients then 3/4 fill glass with crushed ice. Add rum, apple juice to a glass and gently churn ingredients. Add more crushed ice then with ginger beer and add 3 dashes of ANGOSTURA®️ aromatic bitters. Garnish with Apples slices. Serve with paper straws

2 - Strawberry & Basil Mojito:
2 oz Angostura Reserva®️
1 oz Simple Syrup
3/4 oz Lime juice
6 fresh basil leaves
6 pieces fresh strawberries
3 Dashes Angostura Orange bitters
Splash club soda

Method
In a highball glass add basil leaves, fresh strawberries, simple syrup and lime juice. Gently muddle ingredients, add crushed ice then pour in rum and bitters. Mix well, add more ice if needed. Finish with a splash of carbonated water. Garnish with Dehydrated orange slice and basil sprig. Serve with paper straws.

3 - Classic Mojito:
2 oz ANGOSTURA Reserva®️
1 oz Simple syrup
1 oz Lime Juice
6-8 Fresh Mint leaves
2 dashes ANGOSTURA®️ aromatic bitters
Splash of Soda water

Method
In a highball glass add mint leaves, lime juice and simple syrup. Gently muddle mint leaves then 3/4 fill glass with crushed ice. Add rum then mix ingredients well with long spoon. Add more crushed ice then add bitters. Garnish with mint sprigs. Serve with paper straws.
