As we celebrate our bicentenary year in 2024, we are delighted to relaunch the Angostura® Global Cocktail Challenge. This marks the beginning of a new dialogue with the bartending community as we search for the next generation of champions worldwide.

Our theme for this year's challenge is... A journey through time... a celebration of 200 years of Angostura, bartending and classic cocktails.

Warm your soul this winter with our Apple Butter Old Fashioned. A sweet, spicy delight.

RECIPE:
- Coarse sugar for the rim
- 1/4 cup apple cider
- Juice from 1/2 lemon
- Dash of ANGOSTURA® orange bitter
- 1 tablespoon of apple butter
- 2 ounces bourbon
- ...Ginger beer to top up
- Thinly sliced apples and a cinnamon stick for garnish

METHOD:
1. Rim your glass with coarse sugar.
2. In a cocktail shaker, combine the apple cider, lemon juice, orange bitters, apple butter and bourbon. Shake to combine.
3. Strain into your prepared glass filled with ice. If desired top with ginger beer. Garnish with cinnamon and apples. DRINK!

Cut your pears in half and remove the core. Place them in a baking dish.
In a small bowl, combine honey, ANGOSTURA® 1919 rum, a splash of vanilla extract, and a ...few dashes of ANGOSTURA® orange bitters.
Drizzle the mixture over the pears and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 30 minutes, basting occasionally with the sauce.
Fill the centre with either yoghurt or ice cream and garnish with walnuts
ANGOSTURA® cocoa bitters. Add any left over honey and rum sauce to garnish.

Serve warm and enjoy!
